Reasons for the excellent anti-electric function of PTFE tube

There are two types of PTFE tube: extrusion tube and molded tubing. In the known plastics, PTFE has good chemical resistance and dielectric functions, and can be used at temperatures of -180°C to +260°C, and With a very low coefficient of friction, it is mainly suitable for some long products and non-standard mechanical parts: seals/washers, rings, wear plates/seats, insulation parts, corrosion resistance occupations, mechanical parts, linings, Oil and gas, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, instrument and equipment manufacturer, etc.

Anti-current function of PTFE tube

In application, the PTFE tube must be very flexible, without any cracks/inclusions that will affect the insulation function.

In addition, since the requirement may be a cable that may be connected without a joint, the PTFE tube itself must be a continuous length. Therefore, it is necessary to be able to manufacture connecting pipes with a length of at least 150 to 300 meters without any disadvantages.

The PTFE tube has a very high anti-current function. There is no way for static electricity to adhere to the surface of the material through PTFE. Once the critical point is reached, there is a possibility of sparks.

In applications that touch flammable vapors, sparks are very dangerous. In order to solve this problem, a filler such as carbon is added to the PTFE tube to discharge static electricity through the data. The addition of carbon reduces the insulating function of the PTFE tube to a certain extent, but the function of the material is still much higher than that of any conventional insulator.

Main characteristics of PTFE tube

1. PTFE tube can be used as wire insulator, medical equipment pipe, fluid flow pipe, sheath, etc.

2. Outstanding thermal quality, can accept temperatures as high as 680 degrees Fahrenheit, and low temperature conditions drop to -320 degrees Fahrenheit.

3.It has excellent electrical characteristics with a low dielectric constant of 2.1 between -40 degrees Fahrenheit and 480 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. It has a static friction coefficient.

5. Be chemically lazy with many organic and inorganic chemicals.
