SK-63T Dual-Action PTFE Molding Machine
The SK-63T is a vertical dual-action molding machine developed for PTFE compression molding. It applies force from both the upper and lower sides of the mold, making it suitable for PTFE bushings, thick-wall tube billets, sealing rings and other molded parts with a certain height or wall thickness.
After the operator loads the PTFE powder, the machine follows the selected program to complete low-pressure rapid movement, high-pressure slow forming, venting, pressure holding, pressure compensation, controlled decompression, mold opening and ejection.
Upper and Lower Hydraulic Cylinders
The SK-63T has two hydraulic cylinders. The upper cylinder presses downward, while the lower cylinder presses upward according to the programmed sequence. Therefore, the PTFE powder receives forming force from both directions.
Independent hydraulic pumps control the upper and lower pressing actions. In addition, pressure sensors monitor the hydraulic pressure in real time, while the PLC controls the sequence, speed and duration of each molding stage.
The operator can set or adjust:
- Forming pressure
- High- and low-pressure switching positions
- Pressing speed
- Venting frequency and duration
- Pressure-holding time
- Pressure compensation
- Decompression settings
- Mold opening and ejection actions

PTFE Products the Machine Can Produce
By changing the mold and mandrel, the SK-63T can manufacture different products within its specified working range, including:
- PTFE bushings and sleeve blanks
- Thick-wall PTFE tube billets
- PTFE sealing ring blanks
- PTFE valve seat blanks
- PTFE insulating rings
- Other annular or hollow molded components
The machine’s rated tonnage remains fixed after manufacture. Changing the mold does not change the available tonnage. However, as long as the product remains within the specified forming range of the SK-63T, the available pressing force can meet the corresponding PTFE molding requirements.
If the required product exceeds the available table size, daylight, stroke or forming range, SUKO can configure a machine with a different tonnage or mechanical structure.
Manual Powder Charging and Automatic Molding
The SK-63T combines one-time manual powder charging with an automatic molding cycle. The operator weighs and loads the PTFE powder, while the machine completes the subsequent pressing steps.
This configuration retains the flexibility required for different products and PTFE powder grades. At the same time, it reduces manual intervention during pressing, venting, pressure holding, decompression and demolding.
After completing the molding cycle, the machine automatically opens the mold and ejects the green billet.
Custom Molds and Machine Configurations
SUKO can match the mold and machine configuration to the PTFE products that the customer plans to manufacture. Customizable items include:
- Product OD and ID
- Product height and wall thickness
- Mold and mandrel structure
- Working table dimensions
- Hydraulic cylinder stroke and machine daylight
- Rated machine tonnage
- Molding program and operating sequence
- Mold opening and ejection method
- Safety protection configuration
One machine can produce different product sizes by changing the mold, provided that all products remain within the machine’s working range. Products outside the SK-63T range require another machine size or a customized configuration.
Project Experience
SUKO has delivered dual-action PTFE molding machines to customers in Russia and India. After putting the machines into production, the customers gave positive feedback on their molding performance, automatic control and overall operation.
The 63T model represents one actual project configuration. It does not mean every PTFE molding project requires the same tonnage. SUKO selects the machine according to the product dimensions, effective pressing area and mold structure.
FAQ
Is the SK-63T fully automatic?
The operator manually weighs and loads the PTFE powder. After charging, the PLC automatically controls two-way pressing, venting, pressure holding, decompression, mold opening and product ejection.
Can different product sizes be produced by changing the mold?
Yes. Within the machine’s specified forming range, changing the mold and mandrel can adjust the product OD, ID, height and structure.
Does changing the mold change the machine tonnage?
No. The maximum forming force of 63 tons is fixed. Changing the mold changes the product dimensions and shape, but it does not change the rated tonnage of the machine.
What product sizes can the SK-63T produce?
The reference product OD range is 75-195 mm, and the reference product height is 0-100 mm. The final available range depends on the ID, wall thickness, mold structure and molding requirements.
Can SUKO provide dual-action molding machines in other tonnages?
Yes. SUKO can configure the tonnage, working table, daylight, stroke, mold and control program according to the target product dimensions and mold structure.
